Dice notation, briefly
Tabletop games write rolls as 2d6+3: the number of dice, the letter d, the number of sides, then any modifier. This roller shows the same notation under each result, so “roll 2d6+3” means two dice, six sides, plus three.

Are digital dice fair?
A physical die can be chipped, weighted, or land on an uneven table. Digital dice have no such bias: each roll asks your browser’s cryptographic random number generator for a number, and rejection sampling makes sure every face is exactly as likely as the others. How do I roll a dice online?
Press ROLL or the Space bar. The dice tumble and land on the result, and the total appears underneath. Choose how many dice to roll with the number buttons.
Can I roll more than one dice?
Yes — roll up to eight at once. Every die is rolled independently and the total is added up for you.
Which dice can I roll?
D4, D6, D8, D10, D12 and D20. D6 is the standard cube used in board games; the rest are the polyhedral dice used in tabletop role-playing games.
How do modifiers work?
Set a modifier to add or subtract from the total — for example 1d20+5. The roll is shown in dice notation with each die’s value, so you can check the maths.
Is the dice roller random?
Yes. Each die uses your browser’s cryptographic random number generator with rejection sampling, so every face is equally likely and no result is favoured.
Can I use it without an app or internet?
Yes. It runs in your browser, works offline once loaded, and needs no download or account.
