Make your first wheel
- Open the spinner wheel. It starts with a few example options.
- Type an option and press Enter to add it. To add many at once, paste a list — every line becomes its own option.
- Remove the examples you don’t need with the × next to each one.
- Press SPIN or the Space bar. The pointer clicks past each peg and the wheel stops on the winner.
Your wheel is saved in your browser automatically, so it’s there next time you open the page.
Choose the right number of options
Wheels are easiest to read with 3 to 12 options. You can add many more — a class list of 30 works fine — but labels get smaller as slices get thinner. For long lists, use fullscreen, keep labels short, or use the random number generator with numbered entries instead.
Colors that stay readable
New options get colors from a palette where neighbours never share a hue, and label text switches between dark and white automatically for contrast. To change a color, click the square next to an option and pick from the palette or enter any color.
Use color to carry meaning when it helps: green for “yes” options, red for “no”, or one color per team. More tips in wheel customization tips.
Weighted options: control the odds
By default every option has the same chance. Turn on Weights at the bottom of the options panel to give each option a number. An option with weight 3 gets a slice three times as big — and three times the chance — as an option with weight 1. The panel shows each option’s exact percentage.
| Prize | Weight | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| 10% off | 6 | 60% |
| Free shipping | 3 | 30% |
| Free gift | 1 | 10% |
Weights are great for prize wheels and games. If you’re picking people, keep weights off so everyone has the same chance — and so it’s obviously fair.
After the spin: remove, tally, or share
- Spin again keeps the wheel as it is.
- Remove it takes the winner off the wheel — perfect for turn order, raffles with several winners, or picking every student once.
- Tally +1 counts how many times each option has won, shown next to it in the list.
- Share creates a link to your wheel and result.
Show it to a room or a stream
Press Fullscreen to show only the wheel — handy on a projector, a TV, or a screen share. The Space bar spins it, so you don’t need to click from across the room.

A quick checklist before you spin in front of people
- Labels are short enough to read at a glance
- No duplicate or leftover example options
- Weights are on only if you mean them to be
- You’ve decided whether winners stay on the wheel or get removed
- Fullscreen is on if people are watching from a distance
